Mindfulness Challenge Day 2: The Power of Affirmations
“I am a good person who deserves joy, peace, and good health.”
“I release my worries and fears.”
“I choose to feel happy and confident.”
“I deserve every good thing that life has to offer me.”
Yesterday we ended our first challenge with an affirmation and that was a great segue into today’s challenge….AFFIRMATIONS!
It wasn’t until my health coaching journey that I begin to practice mindful affirmations on a daily basis. I had of course heard of them, read them while searching for positive quotes on the internet, and saw my favorite YouTubers use them, but try them for myself, NO. During my studies, I learned so many different components to mindfulness and this was one of them. So, I began by just saying one every morning. Once I tried it myself and noticed a positive and healthy mindset change, I began implementing this with my two kiddos in the morning before heading off to school and work. Holy Moly! What an amazing shift in the transition to heading out of the door, especially on hectic mornings. =) Needless to say, I find myself saying affirmations throughout my entire day. It truly keeps my mindset positive and my confidence level high.
Affirmations can be any short, positive, and powerful statement that helps you conciously control your thoughts, shift negative thoughts/mindsets, and confirm what is meant to be true. When we say affirmations, we speak life into ourselves and our situations. They are a form of self-empowerment and a tool that with practice, will encourage healthy changes in your daily routine.
So today, affirm YOUrself as often as you remember. Set a timer if you need a reminder to do so.
And if no one has told you today….YOU are perfect just the way you are.
Make today Amazing,
~Coach Ashley~
